Our design approach is collaborative and considered

The process

I collaborate closely alongside you to come up with original ideas for your garden. I try to make use of any intriguing existing elements to give it a new depth or quirkier quality. I recycle and reuse plants and materials wherever I can. I come to your location, we have a conversation, and then I create plans, 3Ds, sketches, and mood boards.

1. Initial Meeting to discuss garden brief and walk garden walking through initial ideas and existing planting.

2. Concept Design presentation with annotated sketch plans to scale illustrating concepts and proposed planting. Accompanied by illustrations, moodboards and samples if required. We will walk through the garden with these plans. Contractors may be given the Concept Design to estimate build costs.

3. Developed Design - develop design following discussion and feedback. Developed Design presentation of all drawings. Presentation includes annotated scaled drawings, sketches of key areas and moodboards to capture our vision and the atmosphere of what we want to achieve. Provide quote for building and planting garden.

Water feature

A design sketch for a formal yorkstone water feature. Two steps lead you down to the water level with plants featuring on the lower level.

Formal entrance

Sketch proposal for entrance in to a parterre garden featuring pleached crab apple trees, topiary and chestnut cleft fencing and gate.

Secluded seating

This seating features outside the new kitchen. We plan to cut in to the steeply sloped garden and build a floating bench and steps with planting underneath both.

Entrance courtyard

This design illustration was for an entrance courtyard which featured a water feature and lots of shady immersive planting.

Wild courtyard

This courtyard centred around the existing crab apple tree includes a reclaimed brick terrace in amongst lots of planting and enclosed with a habitat wall.
